1 year ago I began on a journey inward…tapping into emotions, concepts, and visions long suppressed. After much love invested, ‘Grounded’ is nearing completion in the coming weeks. The Grounded Website has gone live. And here’s a VFX breakdown of select shots from the short film. . .vimeo Link

En plein air is a French expression which means “in the open air”, and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors, typically completed in a single sitting. These replicants are far from that, yet channeled the same source from within as would a plein air painting session. Each took an hour to [...]

I’m rediscovering photography after a 10 year hiatus and have found this Bridget Riley quote relevant: ” nature is not landscape, but the dynamism of visual forces.. an event rather than an appearance…only to be tackled by treating color and form as ultimate identities, freeing them from all descriptive or functional roles.”

Red5 Studio needed a trailer for their new game Fire Fall delivered for the PAX game conference in early September. I supervised this 3 minute trailer, completing the entire cine, start to finish, in under 7 weeks time. A huge effort and accomplishment for the entire team, kudos guys. More eye candy to follow shortly…for [...]

As a huge tennis junkie in my formative years, I found it difficult to comprehend this abandoned tennis club left to nature’s sprawl, nestled deep in the woods, residing just down the street from my father’s house. The eerie visits with him to this place are still vivid in my mind. My dad was fond [...]

Bandai Namco was looking for some truly horrifying scenes to promote their new game. I supervised 2 cinematics, the first of which premiered at E3 2010. Knight’s Contract was a technical stepping stone for blur…our first project fully embracing the seductiveness of Vray. A huge effort to deliver world class quality in the midst of [...]

BIG and LONG describe this unholy undertaking. It was the largest project for Blur this year…and kept my constant focus for 10 months. We handled 5 cutscenes totaling 13 minutes. Read and See more….

After recently completing 13 minutes of cinematics for Dante’s Inferno, Electronic Arts and ad agency Wieden + Kennedy tapped blur to create a 30 second spot airing in the 4th quarter of Superbowl XLIV. I served as CG supervisor on this commercial and the 13 minutes of cinematics appearing in the game due out Tuesday [...]

I supervised approximately 2 minutes of pre-rendered ‘interviews’ featuring 6 characters from the game intercut with gameplay footage…the result a series of 30 second TV spots that have been airing recently.

I recently supervised this fun little spot for the new Terminator video game.

Howdy. I’ve given my online home a renovation with further expansion coming soon. Check out the gallery section to see what I’ve been up to these last few years. Cheers.
